The Times Of India, July 30, 2019 — There is a growing chorus of voices saying that the Indian-made Cummins engine has a poor track record.
The problem is, it doesn’t seem to be as bad as you might think.
The engine, which is currently being used by several Indian startups, has a record of making engine failures, reliability problems and major damage, the report said.
The Times of Indian, in its report, said the Cummins Engine is also among the engines that have been “unfairly” blamed for Indian engine failures.
The Indian engine industry has been the subject of controversy in the past because of its low-tech and inefficient design.
The Indian government has tried to reform the industry, but it has failed to do so.
In 2016, Cummins faced major criticism after it admitted to manufacturing problems with its V6 engine that was used in the Aiyar V6 diesel vehicle.
The problem was found to have been due to a faulty cylinder head.
In 2017, Cumminn acknowledged that its V4 engine, manufactured for the European market, had failed in tests.
The company also admitted to problems with the Aayashak V8 engine that is used in many of its other engines.
In September 2017, the company admitted to the same issue.
